The most expensive materials on earth tend to be valuable because of their rareness. Notwithstanding, a few materials have an inflated value because they are traded on black markets.
Right now, the list of the most costly materials on earth are dominated by rare earth substances i.e. platinum, valuable pearls, precious stones, illegal drugs and propelled materials that are perilous and difficult to produce. These substances share a consistent theme of being high in demand and low in supply.

20. Saffron :

Saffron is a kind of flower-plant. It has fantastic taste and great health benefits. It can be used in natural remedies for everything from depression to menstrual cycles. Saffron is too costly because its production process is highly time and effort consuming. About one hundred & fifty saffron flowers are needed to produce one gram of processed saffron.

White Truffle is a seasonal mushroom with good sense of smell. It can be shaved over pasta, steak, eggs and rice, and infused in oil to sprinkle on almost anything.  Truffles are very expensive because it is very hard & costly to cultivate them. They only grow in a very specific kinds of soil and tree. Because they grow up inside tree roots.

Palladium is a chemical element which symbol is Pd and atomic number is 46. It's a lustrous silvery-white solid metal. The price of Palladium depends on its rareness.

Iranian Beluga Caviar are eggs of rare fish sturgeon. It's  also known as "almas". Iranian Beluga Caviar are eaten cold and in small bites as an appetizer and on unsalted crackers or bread. It breaks the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive food in the world.

Rhodium is a silver white material which belongs to Platinium group. This metal is less dense and more resistant to heat than platinum while featuring excellent durability, hardness and reflectance. Platinum is very similar to Rhodium. It is a rare and precious metal of a silvery steel color. Like gold, it’s highly resistant to acids, alkali, and other compounds. So, it's also called as "White Gold". Platinum is being used in jewelry, engines, chemical reactions, wiring, dentistry and electrodes.

Rhinoceros’s horn is a illegal substance which is traded on black markets. There is rumor that Rhino Horn has magical power to cure cancer.  Traditional Chinese medicine also makes use of the Rhino Horn powder. So,  the horns are valuable basically for their medicinal properties.

11. Methamphetamine :

Methamphetamine is a highly-addictive drug which is illegal. This drug causes some serious health problems.  The drug’s ability to rapidly release dopamine in the brain causes side  effects such as violent behavior, psychosis, paranoia, anxiety, sleep  deprivation and intense mood swings.

Californium can be used to start nuclear reactors and treat cancers. It is also used in metal (basically gold & platinum) detectors and moisture gauges for oil wells.

There is no current uses of Antimatter. But, we hope in the future we'll use antimatter as fuel of spacecrafts.

Diwali & Kali Puja is our another awesome celebration. Diwali is the festival of lights and Kali Puja is the worship of goddess Maa Kali. We celebrate this two festivals in the same night. We, Bengalee also call Diwali as Deepawali. Diwali is celebrated every month of October/November (Autumn) in India, Nepal & Bangladesh. In this day every Hindu decorates their home & temples with lights. Kali Puja is also known as Shyama Puja. In the same night of Diwali we celebrate it. The goddess Kali is the symbol of power against evil. In nowadays our city Kolkata wears glamorous attire & illumination. Buds of Mangifera Indica

I took this photo last spring when I visited rural area in India. Do you recognise it ? It's buds of  Mangifera Indica .  ha ha ........  Mangifera Indica  is the scientific name of  Mango . After growing from the seed a mango tree takes around 6-8 years to bear the first fruit. In the spring all trees are showing up their new leaves with young buds. Visiting deep inside the Sundarbans & spent days with Bawali - Episode #06

In the last October-November I visited Sundarbans, the world's one of the largest mangrove forest. It was also declared as world heritage site by UNESCO in 1997. In this forest a numerous wildlife species exist - birds, reptiles, fishes, amphibians and also the king of the forest "Royal Bengal Tiger". The ganges dolphins & crocodiles are also living in the canals of Sundarbans. Chital is a one kind of spotted deer living in this forest. The rural life in the area of this coastal forest is also very attractive. They basically maintain their lives by collecting honey, woods and fishes. In the native language they are called as Bawali. I spent some days with them.
