The past few weeks Bitcoin fees and confirmation time goes skyrocket. Now, a BTC tx costs around $15. And lower lower fees means higher confirmation time (about 2-3 days). So, it's now very hard for Bitcoin to be a fast payment system. There is only one solution is available for Bitcoin is now "Lightning Network". Because, the core developer of Bitcoin refused many times to upgrade its blocksize from typical 1 MB. However, Segregated Witness has successfully been depolyed on Bitcoin blockchain and is temporary trying to solve scaling issues. But, SegWit is not enough to be a permanent solution. Today I just woke up and got shocked when I saw the price of Bitcoin crossed $5K mark. Look at the  CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index . Bitcoin price hit a new all time high of $5,013.91 at 02:25 UTC. Coindesk's market data points to Chinese bitcoin exchange OKCoin BPI in showing that at OKcoin exchange Bitcoin price hits $5,149.  About 2 years ago I predicted that in 2017 Bitcoin may hit $5000, because of halving effect and if find any blocksize scaling solution. That time Bitcoin was traded around $250. So, people called me crazy. Now, I'm totally satisfied. I believe on Bitcoin, so, I additionally bought 1K BTC. I think the fuel of this bullish trend is not only SegWit activation, but, also the low supply of Bitcoin (slow effect of 2nd Halving). image credit BIP 91 is locked now. Plz, be careful on Bitcoin transactions. There is a little chance to get your tx rejected  which is included a block that is not signalling BIP 141. Currently over 97% miners shows supports for BIP 141. But still some unknown and little miners such as Canone (acquired 0.5% total hashrate) are not signalling to BIP 141. All blocks produced by these miners must be rejected. If you found your tx rejected then you can re-broadcast after 72 hours (when the most of the nodes and mem pool drop it).
